Lamp Shade Design........For art Lover Fashion Students

 

This project was inspired by a vintage lamp that I spotted one day while I was getting my browse on. It is a super simple project that requires only a lamp shade (duh), yarn (double duh), scissors and not much explanation. I used four colours of yarn in a random pattern but you could use just one or even multiple colours but arranged in a colour blocked pattern.

 

 

To start wrapping your yarn, secure it on the inside of your lampshade with a few knots. Here are a few in progress shots to show you what my shade looked like as I added more colours.

 

 

 

Once you have completely covered your shade, stick it on the lamp base of your choice, put a ceramic kitty beside it (optional) and enjoy!

Nadia Khan’s Husband Controverts Her Divorce Rights

 

Famous morning show host Nadia Khan has recently divorced her husband Khawar Iqbal, but Khawar Iqbal has vigorously refused to accept divorce saying Nadia Khan’s divorce rights against Islamic laws.

Nadia Khan, who is known for her frank candid straightforward style, has filed divorced against her husband Khawar Iqbal whereas he has challenged the marriage certificate in the court, arguing that the wife can’t give divorce to her husband but can demand divorce from her husband according to the Islamic law. Whereas, Nadia Khan had got a provision in her marriage certificate according to which she can divorce her husband anytime without his consent. But Khawar Iqbal has claimed that the provision in the marriage certificate is against Islamic marriage laws.

To resolve the matter, a bench of three members Justice Shahzad Sheikh, Justice Fida Muhammad Khan and Justice Arshad Jahangir, was constituted by the court. They heard the Nadia Khan Divorce case in the advocacy of advocate Arshad Kayani but the next hearing is postponed for an undisclosed period.

Pakistani Women & 4 Children Killed In UK House Fire

Five members of Pakistani family were killed in London on Monday. There are some reports that it was an arson attack on their home. Sabah Usmani who is doctor by profession died in the incident. Her daughter Hira (12 year-old), sons Sohaib (11 year-old), Rayan (6 year-old) and Muneeb ( 9 year-old) also died in the tragic incidecnet. Their house is located in Harlow, Essex.
Dr. Abdul Shakoor who is father of four died children sustained injuries and he is admitted in the hospital along with her three year old daughter Maheen. She is in a critical condition in a specialist burns unit. The family lived in Saudi Arab for many years before moving to UK last year. Family origannlly belonged to Pakistan’s port city Karachi.
According to police a burning car was also found near the house which did not belong to the family and is being treated as arson. Police added that Karachi bound family may not have been the intended target of the attack.
